2021 year-in-review
Let’s look back on what we did together in the last twelve months. Thank you to all of our members whose love and dedication strengthened our community this year!
A year of new collaborations
In 2021, we leaned heavily into partnerships. We worked with the Democratic Socialists of America, the Sunrise Movement, Catholic Workers, NETWORK Lobby, and more.
“Letter to Joe” campaign opposes Title 42
In the first two weeks of Advent, we will inundate the White House with personal letters demanding the immediate cessation of Title 42. Use our toolkit to take action by December 10!

Celebrating Advent, next steps
We filled Advent 2020, the culmination of the National Campaign, with liturgies, actions, and reflections. The goal of the National Campaign was to strengthen our strategic thinking and coordination, but it also demonstrated the vibrancy of our movement. On January 23, we will gather for a Campaign Celebration!
A Guide to CTA’s Advent Activities
Welcome to your one-stop guide to Call To Action’s Advent 2020 activities! This hub of events, news, and calls to action is a living document that we will update throughout the month.
October and November Working Groups
Since June, our four strategy working groups have been building toward Advent. We are now entering the home stretch of our National Campaign. In these final months of Ordinary Time, we invite you to step into our work for justice.
Looking to Advent
We chose Advent as a time for coordinated action because of its symbolic resonance. Advent is the beginning of the Catholic year. It is the time of preparation for the birth of Christ, a time of gestation, anticipation, and longing.
Strategy Working Groups Begin
These monthly gatherings will offer space to think about how to use each strategy, workshop projects that you're working on in your local context, develop new projects with other people, and learn from expert Strategy Leaders.
Apply to be a Strategy Leader
Strategy Leaders are conveners, cultivators, weavers, and shapers of the 2020 National Campaign.
Strategy 4: Alternatives
Alternatives are central to the Catholic reform movement and we’ve decided to add them as a fourth strategy for our 2020 National Campaign.
Regional Calls May 2020
Hear from CTA staff regarding the 2020 National Campaign, learn about projects in your area from local CTA chapter leaders, and meet, connect, and share resources with your fellow members across the states.
National Campaign Update and Virtual Convergence
We can still act for change in our church. In fact, it’s more urgent now than ever before. We hope you will join us on Saturday, June 6th for our first-ever Virtual Convergence!
Denounce Dolan-Trump Alliance: Phone Zap Report and Scripts
80 different people joined the zap call, we collected contact information for 75 bishops across the country, and we made about 139 calls/emails total (and still counting)!
Catholic Women Strike
Strike from Church participation, attendance, and financial contributions throughout the month of May.
