Anti-Racism Resources
Developed by Call To Action’s Anti-Racism Team, the Anti-Racism Covenant illuminates how to interact with each other in a beloved community and create spaces that honor and value each community member.
This covenant is meant to serve as a resource for building community in your classroom, your parish, your intentional community, or your organization. Scroll further to view the covenant or download it below.
Anti-Racism Covenant
Consensus Decision Making: Because everyone’s perspective matters and it is important to move together, we commit to working towards solutions that weave together everyone’s best ideas and key concerns.
Openness in Communication: Active, honest participation requires courage, vulnerability, and respect. Feedback in both directions is expected to help us grow while expanding our consciousness.
Listening to Understand: Careful listening with acknowledgment of our own and another’s truth and perspective is necessary for everyone’s voice to be fully heard. Active, intentional listening involves recognizing intent, impact, and context.
Spirituality: Our work in anti-racism/anti-oppression is grounded in faith that seeks our collective liberation. In kinship with the Sacred, we redefine what it means to be a church that celebrates all as equally blessed.
Evolving Awareness: We are constantly growing and changing in response to the impact of world events. We are committed to ongoing reflection and action with those pushed to the margins and disenfranchised by church and society.
