Strategy Working Groups Begin

CTA Conference 2018, San Antonio

CTA Conference 2018, San Antonio

We had a fantastic turnout for our Virtual Convergence on Saturday, June 6! Over 120 people joined us for a three-hour gathering where we discussed movement ecology, the four strategies for the 2020 National Campaign, and a strategic vision for Church transformation. Video recording of the event is forthcoming. We are so grateful to our presenters, partner organizations, chapter members and leaders, 2020 and past Re/Generators, and new-to-CTA attendees who ALL helped to make the event a success. Thanks especially to Claire Hitchins, who facilitated most of the call!

If you couldn't join us for the Convergence, though, there are so many ways to jump right in. Strategy Working Groups are getting off the ground, starting right away! These monthly gatherings will offer space to think about how to use each strategy, workshop projects that you're working on in your local context, develop new projects with other people, and learn from expert Strategy Leaders! Click on any of the links below to register for the Working Group Meetings in June:

·       Lobbying Working Group (Monday, June 8, 7 pm CT)

·       Education Working Group (Monday, June 15, 7 pm CT)

·       Direct Action Working Group (Wednesday, June 17, 11 am CT)

·       Alternatives Working Group (Monday, June 22, 7 pm CT)

You can also fill out the form on our Working Groups page to get updates about the regular meetings of the Working Groups that you're interested in.

If you think that your experience in one of our four strategies could make you a great Strategy Leader, then we have good news for you! We are looking for a few more leaders for each strategy who will facilitate the Working Groups, draw on their expertise, and shape a strategic future for Church transformation. Deadline is June 25. Click here to learn more and to apply.

We need everyone to bring their diverse skills and gifts to the work of Church reform and transformation, and we hope that you'll join us in this exciting new project that weaves those gifts together in a new, strategic, and coordinated way!
