Consider The Puppies
What Shiloh doesn’t know about are the systems that she and her owners live in. She doesn’t know that peeing on a laptop or ripping up the carpet means that her owners have to pay their landlord or a computer company extra money.
Lent’s 5th week, reflection
During this Lenten journey we have been praying and reflecting with you on the ways we are called to die to that which keeps us from fully being in loving relationship.

Rebuilding the People's Church
We must revive the call of liberation theologians, re-building a “theology from below” that forms the foundations of a “People’s Church.”

Risking Resurrection: Cultivating Eucharistic Vision
As we make that reciprocal embrace of Christ’s suffering in ingesting the Elements, we conscript ourselves into the same to-the-death solidarity, and retell the story of redemption in our bodies. We eat and drink God’s given-ness, and in turn give ourselves back; in mystery, we participate in the very life of Christ by pouring ourselves out for the world.

Call to Standing Rock
If we are to say we are working for justice in our church and world, if we are to take seriously the call of our faith to care for other creatures and the land, if we are to be disciples of Laudato Si, if we are to unearth and claim the deep thread of the Old Testament that ties our well-being with the flourishing of the places that sustain us, then we must be in solidarity with Standing Rock.
Lessons in Humility at AYA/ATF 2016
The face and emphasis of the Church is changing. It is becoming less European/American and more Asian, African, and Latino/a. While dialoging and learning from my incredible colleagues at this conference, I have grown more hopeful and excited about the future of my Church. I am now confident that this cultural transition will not only change the Church for the better, it will save it.
