Progressive Catholic Coalition to join SOAW at the Border
From October 7-10, Call To Action will join Progressive Catholic Coalition again for the School of the Americas Watch for their days of action at the Convergence on the Mexican Border.
This year will be historic, as it is the first time in School of the Americas Watch's 25-year history that the days of action will be moved from Fr. Benning, Georgia, to the Mexican border. School of the Americas Watch was started by Maryknoll Priest Fr. Roy Bourgeois, who has been a friend of Call To Action for many years. After Bourgeois was excommunicated in 2012 for supporting women's ordination, Call To Action stood beside him with a strong voice of support. We will continue to stand beside him, the movement to close the School of the Americas and resist empire and militarization!
