Inspiring Catholics: Ruth Kolpack

Beloit, WI

Ruth was fired from her parish because of so-called “feminist views.”

“Ruth played more than just a role there. She was the foundation of all activity at St. Thomas… She’s the heart and soul behind everything that goes on.” wrote a National Catholic Reporter article on her firing which can be found here.

In addition to this article, a video of Ruth’s journey can be accessed online here.

Even though she was let go by the hierarchy, she continues to answer God’s call to lead a life of integrity, purpose, and faith. Ruth is very involved in the Call To Action community and works tirelessly with those on the margins to showcase God’s love of everyone.
