The Culture Of Encounter, Pope Francis and the Synod on the Family

Aaron Bianco, Call To Action's Program Outreach Associate, was in Rome this past fall for the Synod on the Family. Aaron was able to meet with 11 bishops and dialogue with them directly about the myriad of family issues and challenges facing diverse families in the Catholic Church. In response to his conversations, he has developed a presentation (summary below) that he has already agreed to give to a couple groups this spring.

If you are interested in having Aaron talk with your chapter, faith community, etc. please contact him and he would be happy to explore possibilities with you.

The Culture Of Encounter, Pope Francis and the Synod on the FamilyOne of Pope Francis' core message is the need for a "culture of encounter." Aaron will reflect on this theme in light of this fall's Synod on the Family and the conversations he had with some of the bishops who participated. In addition, time will be spent discussing how Pope Francis' vision of Church is being put into reality.
