Beginning in March in Seattle and coming to a location near you! In 2016 SNAP is going back to our roots by re-instituting SNAP Gatherings and Leader Training. In the early years of SNAP these weekend events became the cornerstone of our movement.With so many new survivors joining SNAP and requests for help on personal issues by so many the logical response is to hold SNAP Gatherings.
WHAT: SNAP Gatherings are weekend events where survivors can focus on their personal experiences, gather information and inspiration and decide next steps to take in their personal journeys.
WHO: Survivors and loved ones who want to focus on personal issues
HOW will it run? Working in small groups SNAP Gatherings begin on Fri at 7 pm and end at noon on Sun. Participants are asked to attend all the sessions of the weekend. There is a power in the group dynamics that is diminished with folks coming and going. Exceptions can be made if necessary.
COST: The cost is reasonable. For those who pre-register the cost is $40, for walk-ins it is $50. (Meals and sleeping rooms are not included.)

WHERE: The Seattle SNAP Gathering will be held at: Clarion Hotel 3700 East Valley Road, Renton, WA, 98055 <--click to reserve sleeping rooms at a special rate of $79. (The rate is good for 3 days before and after the event.)
Leader Training: Following each Gathering we will hold leader training for those who want to become more involved in SNAP. The leadership training begins at 3 pm on Sun and ends at 3 pm on Mon.
WHO attends leader training? Current SNAP leaders and other survivors, loved ones and supporters who want to learn more about becoming more involved in SNAP.
WHAT IS LEADER TRAINING? 24 hours of intense and practical hands-on information exploring options for deeper involvement in SNAP. Participants will learn different options to become more involved. Everyone has something to offer and is welcome. Attending the training does not assume a commitment for future involvement.
COST: The fee for leadership training is $20.
