San Diego Catholics host event about Human Trafficking

The CTA chapter in San Diego invites friends to an event with Sr. Jean Schafer, SDS at the San Diego public library Serra Mesa/Kearney Mesa branch at 10 a.m. on Saturday February 22.

Our chapters are involved in activism on many issues of social justice in our church and world, from immigration to women's ordination and marriage equality to human trafficking. This event will feature Sr. Jean, who has been an activist on the issue since 1989, when she was instrumental in making it part of her congregation's global ministry focuses. More recently she's helped publish stopenslavement.org and is co-director of a center for survivors. If you are in the area and want to learn more about the event, and the other exciting things happening in Southern California, contact the chapter.
