“Growing Up Trans”
(A movie first shown on FRONTLINE)
Just a generation ago, it was adults, not kids, who changed genders. But today, many children are transitioning, too—with new medical options, and at younger and younger ages. In Growing Up Trans, the movie takes viewers on an intimate and eye-opening journey inside the struggles and choices facing transgender kids and their families. With the publicity and controversy currently raging in our country regarding the issue of transgender identity and the rights of transgender people, we believe this is a particularly relevant subject. We’ll view the film and follow up with a discussion. We hope you’ll join us for this timely program. There is no charge for most of our presentations, but we do accept “At Will” donations to help offset our expenses. Thank you.
Location: St. Mark’s Methodist Church, 2391 St. Mark’s Way, Sacramento, CA 95864In the neighborhood behind Country Club Plaza. (We meet in the Fireside Room, upstairs in the Education Building.)
