Reinventing Conference
Dear Friend,
Call To Action has been examining its conference model over the past few years to ensure sustainability for the future. With the rise in new technologies and regional events changing our conference model provides new opportunities for reinvention and growth.
After considerable discernment and dialogue by Call To Action's leadership groups, the Vision Council has approved a biennial national conference moving forward.
National conferences will be held during the even years (don't forget about the 2016 conference this November!) with 3-4 regional offerings sponsored jointly by local communities and the national office held in the alternative years (e.g., 2017).
Hosting a national conference of this magnitude is a significant net expenditure each year. We believe this configuration offers sustainability while maintaining first-rate programming at the national, regional, and local levels. Additionally, it affords Call To Action and our partners exciting new opportunities for faith-based collaboration and occasions to expand our mission.
On Tuesday, May 24th we'll host an online open forum about Call To Action's new conference model and transition plans. We encourage anyone interested to click on the link and register to join us.
Grateful for this community,
Amy Sheber Howard, Co-Executive Director
