NWM Pilgrimage filling up fast!
Time is running out to sign up for the popular pilgrimage led by Sr. Jeannine Grammick. "I have been leading pilgrimages for LGBT people, their families, friends, and pastoral ministers since 1996. These trips have always been deeply spiritual and educational, and many lasting friendships have developed as a result,” says Jeannine. The trip will feature time to meet with Italian Catholic LGBT groups, reflect on the wisdom of St. Francis and the leadership of Pope Francis, participate in Ash Wednesday services in Rome and visit important cultural sites in Italy. “Entitled ‘Rebuild My Church: Pope Francis and St. Francis,’ this journey will give pilgrims an opportunity to reflect on church renewal while visiting historic, artistic, and sacred sites in Rome, Assisi, and Florence," reads the announcement.
Jeannine is a Sister of Lorretto who is well known for her work with LGBT Catholics, including nuns, priests and lay people. The tour is organized by New Ways Ministry, an organization she co-founded. For more information, visit the event page.
