MN Catholics examine "emerging sexual ethic"

If you are in the Twin Cities this weekend, check out the CTA MN Fall Conference, a daylong event titled "Where Love and Justice Meet: An Emerging Sexual Ethic for Our Time." The day features Sr Fran Ferder, PhD and Fr John Heagle, MA, JCL who will speak from their own extensive background in issues of sexual ethics and the abuse crisis. They will also reference Sr. Margaret Farley's important work on the topic, presented in the book Just Love: A Framework for Christian Sexual Ethics.

"This will be a fresh look at the Catholic teaching and thinking" explained Art, an active CTA and Dignity leader in the Twin Cities. “They'll offer new guidelines that are practical, loving and relevant to modern life. A positive statement from Catholics on sexuality. This conference introduces a more biblically based understanding of the gift and the responsibility of faithful loving. It explores the profound connection between relationships and biblical justice, sexuality and systems of power." The day will consist of several presentations followed by break out sessions for discussion and reflection. For more information, contact Art.
