Press Conference will introduce the Equally Blessed Pilgrims to media, participants in the World Meeting of Families, and Catholics worldwide

The Equally Blessed coalition of pro-lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) Catholics will hold a press conference to introduce the diverse members of the LGBTQ family pilgrimage to the 2015 World Meeting of Families. The pilgrims will join thousands of other Catholics from all over the world to dialogue about and celebrate the sacredness of Catholic family life today.

The Equally Blessed partners, comprised of Call To Action, DignityUSA, Fortunate Families, and New Ways Ministry, are among more than 30 organizations that sent a letter to Pope Francis at the end of June asking him to meet with LGBT families during the World Meeting of Families. As of this release we have not received a response from the Vatican.

In August Equally Blessed was evicted and excluded from holding events at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Philadelphia at the behest of the Archdiocese.
