Married priests to share their stories in Naperville

On Sunday in Naperville, West Suburban Chicago CTA will host an event featuring three married Catholic priests. "These are fine, dedicated men who answered the call by God and have a story to tell, each one quite different,” says Lois, who helped organize the day. The afternoon panel discussion will be followed by Mass celebrated by one of the married priests. "Since CTA is about all forms of injustice in our church, we wanted to highlight the story of men who left the priesthood to marry and could no longer serve as God had called them, “ says Rachelle, a leader in the chapter. "Our core committee felt like they had an important story to tell as well and we want to educate on this topic as well."

As with all their events, Lois says, "our goal is to discuss what we perceive to be injustices in the church, educating and promoting dialogue in hopes of affecting change." For location and contact details, check out the chapter's webpage.
