Local groups prepare for International Women's Day

CTA Chapters and local leaders are being encouraged to join Equal In Faith, an interfaith coalition of women's ordination advocates, in celebrating women on International Women's Day. If you are a leader of a local chapter, guerrilla communion or intentional community which would like to participate, contact Ellen ASAP.

There are a couple ways for chapters to be involved:

1) Host a local event: this could be a simple potluck, a prayer vigil or a speaker event. Equal In Faith will provide recommended prayers, discussion questions and readings if you're interested.

2) Send pictures: EIF is collecting pictures to produce a video showing the wide support for women's ordination. Send pictures from past events (such as Chrism vigils, ordinations etc) or selfies and group pics with written statements of support.

3) Participate online: On March 8th EIF is encouraging folks to edit wikipedia entries about ordination to make sure they accurately reflect the movement. If you want further instructions, we can provide a guide. There will also be a chance to share pictures on Facebook etc.

More information about Equal In Faith, which is organizing the actions, can be found at www.equalinfaith.org
