Jubilee Year of Mercy: "Anointed for Mercy"

December 8th kicks off the Jubilee Year of Mercy. Pope Francis has initiated the year-long journey of compassion by opening the holy door at St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome.

We join the entire Catholic community in reflecting on and being agents of mercy in our Church and world.

To begin our journey, we’re sharing a reflection by Rhonda Miska, a member of Call To Action’s young adult community. Her sermon – Anointed for Mercy – asks important questions about the nature of mercy and our role as faithful servants. Additionally, discussion questions at the end invite us to deeper thinking around God’s mercy in our life, Church, and world.

I hope you will be able to take advantage of this resource as we, together, begin this year of mercy, compassion, and love.

Advent peace,

Jim FitzGerald, Executive Director
