Join us to celebrate as Governor Quinn signs marriage equality into law!

Catholics for Marriage Equality will be celebrating with thousands of others this afternoon in Chicago, where Governor Quinn (a Catholic!) will be signing the law giving gay, lesbian and bisexual Illinoisians the right to marry the love of their life.

If you're in Chicago, come join us outside the UIC Forum at 3:00pm today. We'll be the one's with the "God is Love" banner and the message that our Catholic identity calls us to work for the inclusion, dignity and rights of LGBT people.

Catholics for Marriage Equality was organized by four CTA chapters in partnership with Dignity/Chicago, New Ways Ministry and Fortunate Families. If you live in one of the states where the fight continues for marriage equality, check out our chapters page and talk to your friends -- maybe it’s time to energize your own group of Catholics for Marriage Equality.
