Department of Education Lists Catholic Institutions Allowed to Discriminate

Today the U.S. Department of Education increased transparency and accountability by publishing a list of educational institutions who have received an exemption from federal civil rights law in order to discriminate against LGBT students.

Regrettably, the list contains hundreds of Catholic institutions who wish to be allowed to discriminate against our LGBT brothers and sisters.

"The Catholic faith is not about discriminating. It is about lifting up & celebrating the holiness of all God's children. It's sad that so many Catholic institutions are on this list" says Ryan Hoffmann, Co-Executive Director.

Call To Action will continue to cultivate Catholic communities of inclusion and affirmation for the LGBTQ community and its allies.
