CTA Caucuses

I have always thought ‘caucus’ was such an interesting word. It made me think of impassioned discussions, small rooms with closed doors, important people, and politics. A caucus is, in fact, a meeting of supporters of a political party or social movement, but there doesn’t have to be smoke or yelling. It is a unique chance to start a conversation without knowing where it will end.

Call To Action invites groups and individuals to hold caucuses or other special meetings as part of its 2015 Conference: Love Radically, Live Faithfully to be held November 6-8 in Milwaukee, WI. A CTA caucus is an opportunity for a group of people to gather around a particular issue or agenda for an informal discussion and sharing of information. A brief introduction of the issue is appropriate at the beginning of the caucus. Caucus time should not be used to make a formal presentation, since people will attend expecting a participative process.
