Connecting with Young Adults at Pride
Last weekend at Motor City Pride, 20/30 Team leader Lui marched with a Catholic coalition and eagerly greeted passers by at a booth with rainbow flyers and bracelets. Visitors to the booth were invited to share their dreams for an inclusive church in photos posted at CTA Michigan 20/30's Facebook Page. At the booth they could pick up flyers with more information about CTA 20/30 and the newly organizing Guerrilla Communion group.
A few weeks ago, young adults on the 20/30 Listserv were asked for their ideas on a knickknack for booth visitors to take home. The winning idea? Bracelets with Call To Action's name and a choice of the word "unconditionally" or "transforming." The bracelets were a hit and many people also signed up to stay involved locally.
Thank you to all those who helped make the CTA presence at Motor City Pride a success! Make sure to look for us at Pride parades around the country this month, and check out what else CTA is doing to spread the message of a more welcoming Church.
