Professor Charles E. Curran, Ph.D., is an expert on fundamental moral theology, social ethics, the role of the Catholic Church as a moral and political actor in society, and Catholic moral theology. He is the author of numerous books and articles, including Catholic Moral Theology in the United States: A History (Washington, DC: Georgetown University Press, 2008) and Loyal Dissent: Memoir of a Catholic Theologian (Washington, DC: Georgetown University Press, 2006).

Sister Jeannine Gramick, SL has worked for justice and peace for sexual minorities for more than 30 years. She co-founded New Ways Ministry, a Catholic social justice center working for the reconciliation of gay people and the church. The Sisters of Loretto support her in her ministry of education and advocacy on behalf of lesbian and gay people. Sister Gramick is the subject of a documentary film, entitled In GoodConscience: Sister Jeannine Gramick's Journey of Faith, by the Peabody and Emmy award-winning director, Barbara Rick. She is currently an Executive Co-Director of theNational Coalition of American Nuns.
