Call To Action Welcomes New National Staff Members

 Dear Friend,

I am very excited to share with you that Call To Action has three new national staff members.

Marci Madary, from Oak Park, IL will begin serving as Call To Action’s new full-time Director of Programs on June 1stA trained facilitator, spiritual director, and educator, Marci joins CTA’s national team with experience directing programmatic and outreach initiatives on a national scale through her 18 years directing the affiliation program for the Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Her unwavering commitment to social justice and dismantling white privilege, along with her positive relationship building approach will serve CTA's programs in powerful ways. Marci will oversee CTA's JustChurch program which provides advocacy in the areas of church worker rights, racial justice, women’s equality, lay empowerment, and LGBT justice.

Aaron Bianco, from San Diego, CA will begin his work as Call To Action’s full-time Program Outreach Associate beginning June 1stAaron has served as Pastoral Associate at Saint Joseph's Cathedral in San Diego since 2008 with experience in RCIA, liturgy, and music. Aaron has extensive experience with young adults through his coordination of the Cathedral’s young adult ministry group of over 600 young adults. Given Aaron’s engagement with grassroots organizing and comprehensive understanding of intergenerational dialogue, we are excited to have Aaron offer support to CTA's young adult program, regional chapters, and to assist our JustChurch program.

John Canales Gorczynzski, from Houston, TX began earlier this month his part-time contractual arrangement as Call To Action’s Conference Program Associate. John brings to CTA great passion for the annual conference, a deep commitment to antiracism, anti-oppression, and intergenerational equity principles. John's knowledge of and experience with large event planning through his work as President of Texas Young Democrats and his creating Texas Catholics for Inclusion will greatly assist CTA's conference in transformational ways.
