Founder Daley: “I couldn’t hope for a better continuation of CTA.”

Dear friends,

When the world is most in need of justice and healing — and church — I as CTA’s fundraiser am grateful for how far our organization has come.

CTA’s 32-year co-executives spoke with me earlier this year about their and our church reform, from anti-racism (“for CTA, it’s just a no-brainer”) to young adults (like me!).

Now, thanks to support like yours, CTA is on track to end 2020 with more assets than it started — a first since 2014, and since we have transitioned our governance and program models. So it’s my joy and job to ask: CTA’s 2021 looks stronger still. Will you donate to it?

CTA is once more growing, and growing stronger from our core. Sheila Daley told me: “You’re doing so many things that we did. You’re doing it in different ways now; we’ve got the coronavirus to deal with, you’ve got to respond to the realities of your time. And sometimes there’s great creativity. I couldn’t hope for a better continuation of Call To Action.” Read much more from Sheila and Dan in our year-end report.

2021 promises a vaccine… Yet there is no cure for oppression, except decades of activism and investment, catalyzed by this year’s outpouring of protest and solidarity. I drafted CTA’s 2021 budget, for church reform through more “Re/Generation” young leaders and anti-racism than ever. In these last days before 2021, will you seize this opportunity and donate?

Especially this year, many cannot give; we stand in solidarity with you. If you can, consider giving at cta-usa.org/donate or by mailing a check to 1301 2nd Ave S A306, Minneapolis, MN 55403.

As we close 2020, I thank you for your commitment. Together, we can make 2021 transformative.

P.S. Ending Dec. 31, 2020: You can deduct from your 2020 taxable income $300 in donations to tax-exempt exempt orgs like us (even if you don’t itemize)! This per the CARES (coronavirus) act.

Also, if you are 70.5 or older and have an IRA, consider making a contribution to us directly from it — it’s more tax-advantaged under newer law.
