Make a contribution from your IRA

If you are 70.5 or older, consider making a contribution from your Individual Retirement Account (IRA) to Call To Action. Making a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) from your IRA is especially beneficial under the new tax law. With very few people expected to itemize, the income tax deduction for contributions to charities will be lost for many people. However if you make a QCD, you get a full exclusion of that income from taxes. The contribution needs to be paid directly from the retirement account. If you’re interested in making a gift through your IRA or another retirement account, please contact Patricia Kay, CTA accountant at patti@cta-usa.org.
