Invest in the Future with our 20/30 Project for Mentoring and Leadership
A few weeks ago, many of you received a letter in which I invited you to join us in nurturing the seeds of an inclusive and just Catholic Church. I particularly drew your attention to some of our new programs, such as our White Supremacy and Catholicism Study Circles, and our plans to create more templates and programs for chapters.
Today, I’m writing to you with an update about one program that I’m particularly excited about: CTA’s 20/30 Project for Mentoring and Leadership.
The 20/30 Project will mentor, empower and educate a diverse cohort of young adult Catholic leaders throughout 2018. Our Young Adult Leaders will gather at a 3 day retreat in May 2018 to learn Catholic social teaching, analyze dominant power structures, and study methods of social movement and change. The Young Adult Leaders will then go back to their various home regions to be paired with a mentor from a CTA chapter near their local area. These mentors will then guide and support young adult leaders as they work on a specific leadership project of their choosing that will benefit their local community. Young Adult Leaders will then travel to our 2018 National Conference where they will present on their work and share what they learned with our wider community.
Applications are now open for both Young Adult Leaders and mentors. Please take a minute to read more about this exciting program, and spread the word to any young adult Catholic leaders in your life.
The 20/30 Project for Mentoring and Leadership is one exciting way that we’re ensuring a strong future for Call To Action– and for our progressive Catholic faith. By taking the time to mentor and empower the next generation of Catholic leaders, we are assuring that Call To Action will still be a strong voice for justice and inclusion 10, 20 and 50 years into the future.
The 20/30 Project for Mentoring and Leadership is one exciting way that we’re ensuring a strong future for Call To Action– and our progressive Catholic faith. I hope that you’ll join us as we invest in the future of an inclusive and just Catholic Church by making a year-end gift to Call To Action.
Your donation will help guide and strengthen the next generation of progressive Catholic leaders, and will also help sustain our many other fine projects, like strengthening CTA chapters and creating a more racially just church and society.
In this season of hope, please help us plant seeds of hope for the future by donating today . As always, thank you for your continued support and commitment to Call To Action.
Zach Johnson, CTA Executive Director
